Gallery mariART
The mariART gallery in Wiesbaden sees itself as a lively place for contemporary art with attitude. Founded with the aim of making relevant artistic positions visible, mariART shows works by emerging and established artists whose works are characterized by conceptual depth, aesthetic independence and social relevance.
The gallery focuses on painting, drawing and interdisciplinary works that often explore the boundaries between art, science and personal reflection. With changing exhibitions, participation in fairs and publications, mariART not only promotes the reception of the artists shown, but also invites an open dialog between art and the public.
The aim of the gallery is not only to present art, but to focus on its transformative power – as a mirror of the present, as critical commentary, as poetic disruption. In an open, respectful atmosphere, mariART offers space for discoveries, discussions and new perspectives.
About the artist
Lena Müller embarks on an artistic-philosophical research journey with her works. She draws her inspiration from scientific questions that range from the microcosm of microorganisms to the vastness of the universe. In doing so, she poses fundamental questions about time, origins and the position of man in the cosmos – visually and intellectually equally impressive.
Frames used
Wood 10, alder, was deliberately chosen as a frame that has a warm, natural look thanks to its material and color. The decision to use a uniform material creates a visual connection between the framed works and ensures a calm, balanced overall effect. The restrained design of the frames does not distract from the picture content, but supports it discreetly. In combination with a white passe-partout, clear contrasts are created that show off each individual work to its best advantage. In this way, the pictures retain their individuality, but at the same time receive a unifying bracket through the common framing.
